2013 Fool’s Mate Chardonnay

"This is a blend of three vineyards and not as a dumping ground but with barrels specifically selected to create a balanced blend. And they have done it well. It is quite fruit driven up front and nicely combines peach and stone fruit, canteloupe melon, some floral notes and then has nicely integrated and complex savoury oak and lees derived aromas. The palate is rich with intense stone fruit and lees, nut and a very long finish with some salinity and minerality. It is rich yet still seems very tight and youthful and should age fantastically. Try it in 3-5 years."
